Note Names & Pitches

Hear a pitch for any written note or piano key.

Musician's App ★★★★★

Note Names and Pitches is great for singers who want to play a passage of music that may be difficult to sightread. I've been looking for an ap that will go high enough in the keyboard scale for soprano. This app is fantastic as it gives you soprano, alto, tenor and bass clefs, ALL keys on the keyboard. Sound quality is great. You can play music either by touching the keyboard (which is rather small, but still works) or by touching the music staff and entering what you want to hear. This will help me learn my music while I'm on the train. Fantastic!

Very well done. ★★★★★

Being able to choose the clefs then play your tune helps with either writing in ledger lines or reverse that and tap the ledger lines to transpose to piano is very helpful. Many uses for this app

Helps with chorus ★★★★★

I am an amateur charol singer. This app is great for helping me learn my singing part. Not only does it help me with pitch but it helps reinforce the note's name.

Play the piano and see the notation and name for what you are playing.

Choose between Treble, Alto, Tenor, and Bass clefs.

Touch the staff and see and hear the piano key play.

Be able to write down that melody you just composed so other musicians can play it.

Plunk out a melody without needing to be fluent in reading music. Just match written notes between Note Names & Pitches and your music.

If you read music but don’t know the piano well, just choose a written note and it will play the pitch for you, give you the name of the note, and show you where it is on the piano.

It’s handy for any musician who regularly plays in ledger lines, Alto or Tenor clef, or simply needs a pitch every once in a while. String players, and a-cappella vocal groups could all find this indispensable.

On the iPhone, use the and Buttons to move chromatically up and down without touching the music staff or piano keyboard.
